Most trims use a fast stream-copy method that doesn't touch a single frame's actual video data, so there's no quality loss and it finishes in about a second regardless of clip length; the cut point snaps to the nearest keyframe, typically within a couple of seconds of your exact request. If your file's format can't be stream-copied directly, it automatically falls back to re-encoding instead. No software to install, no sign-up, and the result downloads as a standard MP4.
